Things are getting to be pretty mellow here in the Chandos. All the European tourists have gone home and so that takes out a goo chunk of the people who would normally be in here buying drinks and food. It has made for some pretty boring shifts. I'm talking about working for three or so hours and maybe seeing five people come in. On the positive side, I don't when the pub has been this clean. The problem with that is now we've cleaned just about everything that can be readily cleaned here. Not really sure what else we'll be doing soon. Oh well. Things have picked up as the week has gone on as people get back into the swing of things at work. I'm hoping the trend keeps up. If it doesn't, well the next few weeks might get a little boring. The trend right now is, all things considered, pretty good. We're pretty busy right around six to eight but than people start clearing out. They're only staying for a drink or two. It means that we can get out of here pretty quickly every night which is a nice change of pace. I can live with the current status quo.
Other than that, things are good here. I'm finally back running again which feels really good. Its been below freezing here in the mornings and I can see my breath again when I run, which I have to say I missed more than I thought I would. I haven't been running for a solid month and I can feel it in my legs and lungs. I've been hurting. Every day I'm getting better though. Today I felt almost like normal for the first time, so things are looking good. I've still got a lot to make up for though.
All things considered though, things are good. I've been able to get out and explore a little more since we're back to having a reasonable amount of time off. I've been out and relaxing and reading. Good times. I've still got some things that I want to go and see before I leave here again. Five short weeks.
